SweetSearch SweetSearch leverages Google to search only a fully vetted whitelist of websites. The original index was created by 50+ librarians, educators, and researchers who collectively invested over 100,000 hours in finding the best resources.

RefSeek RefSeek is a web search engine for students and researchers that aims to make academic information easily accessible to everyone. RefSeek searches more than five billion documents, including web pages, books, encyclopedias, journals, and newspapers.

Google Scholar From one place, search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts, and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities, and other websites 

Infoplease "An encyclopedia, a dictionary, an atlas, and several almanacs loaded with statistics, facts, and historical records."

Open Library Search for a book and choose "ebook" for online full-text access.
