AP Research: Unit 2 - Introduction and Literature Review

Unit Description

Unit 2 focuses on introducing the research question or project goals and reviewing previous work in the field of study. Students will synthesize the varying perspectives in the scholarly literature to situate their research question or project goal within a gap in the current field or body of knowledge. Students will learn to focus their topic of inquiry with clear and narrow parameters, explicitly connect their topic of inquiry to relevant scholarly works of varying perspectives, and use a strong line of reasoning to show how the topic of inquiry addresses the gap. (1000-1500 words)
